The Fishing Experience

From casting poppers into feeding frenzies to sight-casting in hidden river pockets, the Orinoco system offers incredible diversity. Anglers will target Payara — the fanged predator known for explosive strikes — as well as Speckled and Orinoco Peacock Bass that routinely exceed 20 lbs. Wading through Class IV rapids, fishing from boats shared between two anglers, and exploring tributaries like the Tomo River, you’ll experience pure adrenaline and pristine wilderness.

After several days at the main lodge, the journey continues upriver to the headwaters camp, deep in the jungle, where massive Peacock Bass await in waters rarely fished by outsiders. With minimal angling pressure and expert local guides, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fish Colombia’s most exclusive region.

The Amazon Experience

Beyond fishing, the Orinoco expedition is a deep dive into Colombia’s natural and cultural heart. Expect to encounter Amazon river dolphins, giant otters, anacondas, and jaguars, and to witness sunrises that redefine “remote beauty.”

Every visit directly supports local conservation and community initiatives — including annual donations to Indigenous villages and participation in El Festival del Pavón (The Peacock Bass Festival), which promotes wildlife education and sustainability among local families and children. By fishing here, you help preserve this fragile ecosystem for future generations.
